Domestic Service CoupleFull time employment for domestic service couple, must be cheerful, eager to please, submissive to requests and direction of owners. Includes daily hands-on cooking, cleaning, laundry, gardening, handyman, driving, shopping, or anything requested by the owners. (THIS IS NOT A PROPERTY MANAGEMENT JOB) The Domestic Service Couple will travel with owners between multiple house locations in Canada and the USA throughout the year. The owners do not have children living at home. All properties include separate living quarters for Domestic Service Couple. Must speak minimal English and have valid drivers license. All living expenses paid plus salary. The hands on duties of the Couple may include but not be limited to:
Cook/Housekeeper:
- usual domestic duties, cleaning, laundry/ironing, shopping.
- cooking and serving meals for couple. Sometimes more if guests at house with substantial dinner or lunch parties. It is essential that one or other of the couple is a good cook!
- feeding pets (1 dog)
- looking after the house and contents when the family is away on trips, when Couple is not accompanying Owners
-driving: errands, shopping
Handyman/other:
-essential: ability to drive car or pickup truck
- house and yard maintenance at all locations when present at that location such as general work, mowing, trimming especially in spring and summer.
- general maintenance around the house: care of vehicles and equipment
- handyman “projects”
- driving with errands, airport runs, some driving between locations, possible some driving in the evenings to parties or events.
Hours
24 hour on call but generally 40 hours throughout the week, (2 days off per week based upon Owners needs), but with regular weekend working 3 weeks out of 4 (lunch, or perhaps dinner). Some weeks, there will be little to do except for cleaning and maintenance while at other times there will be more activity with lots of guests to look after. It is very important that the couple are available over holiday periods if needed.
Holidays: 3 weeks a year plus 8 days allowance for public holidays. Where work is needed on a public holiday, a compensating day off will be agreed.

-Personal references essential and will be checked
Compensation:
First year salary of $50,000 plus living expenses. Accommodation (bedroom self contained one or two bedroom apartment area attached to or next to property depending on location). This is a new position.
